Note: these were done in Excel by formula and should not be considered an alternative to doing your own scouting. it should help, but no mathematical formula can capture every element perfectly. the intentions of these rankings are to provide roughly what the CSB/ISS/RLR etc. do for NHL drafts -- it's a consensus ranking but should not be considered a team ranking. to give a real world example of what I'm saying, a few years ago the St. Louis Blues selected T.J. Oshie #25 overall when he was ranked way lower in all published scouting lists. just because a guy is low on here doesn't mean he's necessarily a bad prospect. scouts are wrong sometimes and these formula scouts are no exception
